Thank You, Customers! Michael Lynne’s Celebrates 34 Years of Service

Service, selection, and relationships keep customers coming back

It was the summer of 1990, and Michael and Mimzy Lynne had their brand-new shop all ready to go. The only thing they needed was the city of St. Louis Park’s final approval.

“We had people walking by the store, ‘Are you open yet? Are you open yet?’” Mimzy recalled. “It was getting closer and closer. Then it was 3 o’clock on August 1, we got the permit, and we started getting customers in the store that very day.”

As the store enters its 34th year in business, many of those very first customers still shop at Michael Lynne’s today.

“Being in business for 34 years, it’s multi-generational now,” Mimzy said. “We have grandparents whose grandkids are now shopping here.

“We have a lot of loyal customers,” Michael added.

Earning Your Trust

With unmatched service and selection, Michael Lynne’s has earned the reputation of being the largest and most trusted independent tennis and pickleball shop in the Midwest.

“It’s all about giving great service,” Michael said.

Michael Lynne’s is proud to offer customers a more personalized approach than the big box stores.

“If you worry about the other guys, you’re going to go out of business,” Mimzy added. “We try to do what’s best for us and our customers.”

A New Era: Pickleball

The pickleball boom has brought so many new faces into the store, and it’s no secret why: Michael Lynne’s has a 42-foot pickleball wall to meet the needs of every customer.

“We’re building so many relationships with new people,” Mimzy said.

“And they’re coming from all over — all the adjacent states,” Michael said. “It’s unbelievable.”

“It Keeps Us Young”

Michael and Mimzy Lynne show no signs of slowing down.

“Every day is a new adventure,” Mimzy said. “You never know who’s going to come in the door. If you can help them with the right equipment so they can have fun, be active and enjoy themselves, that’s what we love.

“We’re seeing little kids grow up. It keeps us young.”
