The World Health Organization says that low back pain is the single leading cause of disability worldwide—but that it is also the condition for which the largest number of people could benefit from rehabilitation like stretching and strength training:

When stretching your lower back be very careful and aim to hold each stretch for at least 10 seconds and preferably 30 seconds or longer. Don't forget to breath and don't rush through the stretches. Take your time and try to get the most out of your stretches. Below are some great stretches if you suffer from lower back pain.

  1. Child's Pose

  2. Cat/Cow stretch

  3. Supine Twist

  4. Pelvic Tilt

  5. Lying Hand-To-Big Toe Stretch

  6. Bridge Pose

  7. Pigeon Pose

Give these stretches a try if you are suffering from any type of low back pain and if you can stay consistent in performing these stretches you will see a decrease in your lower back pain.
