Elden Lee Returns Down Under
Last month, Michael Lynne’s very own Elden Lee returned to Melbourne to string racquets at the Australian Open for a second consecutive year. He brought with him the experience and attention to detail he demonstrates daily at Michael Lynne’s. In March, Elden will travel to California to compete at the Indian Wells ATP/WTA 1000 tournament. We could not be more proud of Elden!
How was your experience at this year’s Australian Open? What was the best part, or is there a memory that stands out?
My experience at the Australian Open this year was amazing, similar to last year. I was able to reconnect with familiar faces whilst meeting new faces which is always something exciting when doing tournaments. A memory that stood out to me was going with a couple of coworkers to play Padel, the scenery of the area was such a wonderful experience. It was nice to get out and do something active rather than being in the stringing room all the time.
How did returning for a second year change your approach or perspective?
Returning for my second year, my perspective did change. Since I was able to do it last year, I knew what to expect and when our busiest days would be. I was able to prepare myself for the days that we had. At the Australian Open this year, we were actually busier compared to last year. Which to all of us came by surprise, we weren't expecting such an increase in the early stages of the tournament.
